| BUCKHAVEN BAY |
|
A popular mark for junior anglers as quality flounders can be caught here with moderate casting ability.
Best baits are peeler crab and red rag worm.
Parking and access: As for Buckhaven Harbour, but continue on until fishermen's huts.

| BUCKHAVEN HARBOUR |
|
This is a very popular local mark for codling and coalies, and good catches can be expected throughout the
year. Fishes well at night and best baits are peeler crab, lug and various shellfish.
Rocks can be slippy in wet conditions, so be warned.
Parking and access: At T-junction turn right, then take Buckhaven road at roundabout. Straight on at
next junction, then turn right down the narrow and fairly steep hill.

| BURNTISLAND |
|
This mark has been known to produce flounders and occasional small bass, with the addition of mackerel from the East Harbour
wall in August. When beach fishing, keep an eye on the incoming tide. The west end of the beach can be busy with
holidaymakers - mind the casting.
Parking and access: From Kirkcaldy, turn left at the end of the park. Turn left at top of the hill, then follow the
road round to the car park.

| CULROSS |
|
Fish over mixed mud and rocks, and expect bass, flounder, eel and coalfish to come to peeler crab, sand-eel, fish strip or
red rag worm. A good and popular mark with easy access. Generally safe, but there are patches of sticky mud best avoided.
Parking and access: Park at toilets, then cross the railway line. Easy access.

| DYSART BEACH |
|
Good fishing for codling and coalfish can be had from the shore to the west of Dysart Pier. Best baits are peeler crab, lug
and shellfish. A very safe mark with good access.
Parking and access: Easy access and ample parking at Dysart Harbour.

| DYSART PIER |
|
Good, safe mark for young and old for codling, coalies and flounder. Fish with peeler crab, lug and shellfish baits.
Parking and access: Easy access and ample parking at Dysart Harbour.

| EAST WEMYSS |
|
This stretch of shoreline offers codling and coalfish in front of the mill, and flounders beside the Michael Mine water
outflow. Another safe venue with easy access.
Parking and access: At the Y-junction after railway crossing take the right fork. Carry on down the hill then turn right.
Park at the mill.

| FRANCIS MINE, Dysart |
|
Fishing on to the patchy sea bed, expect codling and coalfish to come to baits such as peeler crab, lug worm and shellfish. A good
safe mark.
Parking and access: Limited parking on The Walk in Dysart. Walk down the steps and cross the grass to the shoreline.

| KINGHORN |
|
Fish from the beach onto sand for flounders, with peeler crab, fish strip, sand-eel and rag worm giving the best results.
This mark can get a bit busy with holidaymakers in the summer-time so mind your casting.
Parking and access: From Kirkcaldy turn left at the Ship Tavern, then straight down the hill to the beach. Ample
parking.

| KIRKCALDY ESPLANADE |
|
Fish over the sand for flounder, and at the extreme western end, near the Tiel Burn, for codling. Use fish strip, sand-eels,
peeler crab and red rag worm.
Parking and access: Park on Kirkcaldy Esplanade. Easy access.

| LEVEN BEACH |
|
A popular flounder beach with easy access and very safe for youngsters. Good quality flounders can be caught here
particularly in late summer and early autumn on peeler crab, lug and rag worm.
Parking and access: On shorefront, near playpark and paddling pool.

| NORTH QUEENSFERRY |
|
Casting onto a sand/mud bottom under the Forth Road Bridge, expect flounder and occasional codling and coalies, to fall for peeler
crab, lug, and red and white rag.
Parking and access: On entering North Queensferry turn right, and then follow the road towards the Road Bridge. A safe
venue with easy access.

| RAVENSCRAIG, Kirkcaldy |
|
A good mark for coalies, codling and good sized flatties. Fish with lug, peeler crab and shellfish baits.
Parking and access: Park at picnic area. Easy access.

| RED ROCKS, Dysart |
|
A very popular mark with local anglers, it has produced double figure cod for night fishermen during the winter months.
Generally expect codling and coalfish from the rough ground.
Parking and access: Either walk along the shore to the rocks or, with care, climb down from above. Great care should be
taken in wet conditions as the rocks can get very slippery.

| SEAFIELD, Kirkcaldy |
|
In the summer months this is a good night mark for codling. Fish onto the rough bottom with peeler crab or lug.
Parking and access: Coming from Kirkcaldy Esplanade to double roundabout at Fourways Restaurant, turn left then take first
left. Turn right to picnic area. This venue involves quite a long but easy walk from the car park at the picnic area.

| WEST WEMYSS |
|
Fish over the patchy sea-bed of sand and rocks for codling and coalfish. A safe venue, easily accessible.
Best baits are peeler crab, lug and rag worm.
Parking and access: Turn right at sign for West Wemyss, then turn right at Belvedere Hotel. Please note
that cars must use the car park at West Wemyss Harbour and most definitely not on the private road which belongs to Wemyss
Estates.
