Amazing what some graphics can do to a game. Worked on the graphics today - animating the main character and creating stone blocks for the dungeon walls.

Still some problems with the music - can't get the volume control to work after visiting the credits or instruction screens. Have temporarily removed the music until I fix it.

Added a timer to the game, so that there's a limited time to complete the level.

Wrote a test strategy and some functional tests.

Wrote a user testing plan.

Updated the Functional Requirements to include the controller requirements and output devices.

Wrote some pseudocode and created some IPO (Input-Process-Output) diagrams for the game.

Started this new project - making a new game in Adobe Flash.

My students are currently working on their own game designs, so I thought I'd make a start on a project of my own and document the process. Perhaps this can form the basis for some future tutorials or lessons.

Wrote a description of the game and a list of functional requirements.

Made a storyboard.
