Setting up Flash to use the Papervision 3D software

Once you have succesfully installed Papervision 3D you must then set up Flash to access it. This involves letting Flash know wher it can find the Papervision 3D classes on your computer.

Open Flash (CS4 used here). From the Edit Menu, choose Preferences. In the Preferences window, choose the Actionscript category.

Choose the Actionscript 3.0 Settings button.

Next to Source Path, select the folder icon (Browse to Path). Navigate to the Papervision3D folder you created earlier, then drill down and select the folder indicated in the screenshot below. Papervision3D\as3\trunk\src. The exact path that you use will depend on where you created your own Papervision3D folder.

Once the folder has been selected, you should see the following screen - click OK to finish.
